HIGHLAND, IL – The Illinois State Police said a Texas woman’s improper lane usage on Interstate 70 ultimately resulted in the confiscation of more than 150 pounds of marijuana.

According to state police, the incident occurred January 26 just after 4 p.m. A woman in a black 2014 Chrysler was pulled over. The trooper noticed the driver was nervous and unsure of her exact destination, so he asked permission to search the woman’s car.

After the woman gave her consent to the search, state police said the trooper discovered two large duffel bags and a plastic trash bag. One of the duffel bags was filled with wrapped packages, containing approximately 155 pounds of cannabis.

The driver, 41-year-old Isiadra Jasso of El Paso, was charged with possession of marijuana and marijuana trafficking. She was taken to Madison County Jail, where she remains on $200,000 bond.
