(KPLR) - Thousands of stuffed animals were delivered Monday to Stanley Steemer for a good cleaning. Its part of the "Tired Teddies" program started by a little boy told his parents he wanted to collect stuffed animals to help others.

"Strano and Associates" real estate collected the stuffed animals at their office.

The stuffed animals are cleaned and sanitized and will be given to area kids in need.

Students from Saints Peter Paul Catholic school in Waterloo and members of the army reserves dropped off the stuffed animals today.

Stanley Steemers expects to clean more than 10,000 stuffed animals for kids this Christmas.

If you can't make it to the Waterloo school, you can drop-off teddy bears at any BMO Harris Bank location through December 20th.
