Police arrest Bosnian woman for making up hate crime attack

ST. LOUIS (KPLR) - A Bosnian woman is in trouble after police say her account of a hate crime turned out to be false.

Investigators say the woman living in south St. Louis lied when she said she was attacked by pulled from her car and attacked by three black men ten days ago.

Investigators say surveillance video from a nearby video store showed she simply got out of the car and laid in the street, making up the incident.

She is charged with making a false police report, a class B misdemeanor.
