FERGUSON, MO (KPLR) – Come next April’s municipal elections in 2015, Ferguson residents will have the opportunity to elect three city council members. News11 has learned that three incumbent members will not run for re-election.

Ferguson’s city council has 6 members.

Former mayor Brian Fletcher tells News11 he plans to file for a seat.

The racial makeup of the council has been under scrutiny since Michael Brown’s death.

Currently, there is only one person of color on the council.
