O’FALLON, MO (KPLR) – Last year Hayleigh Arbutti fractured her back at a gymnastics competition.

The O'Fallon, Missouri teenager spent time recovering at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital.

Rather than letting her injury get her down, she decided to lift up others and donated 50 gift baskets to children at the hospital.

Today she's back at Northside Gymnastic Academy helping teach and trying to get others onboard her uplifting project "Hayleigh's Helping Hands."

Her new goal is to donate 150 gift baskets full of goodies to kids in need.

This 15-year-old sophomore is hopeful many will help pitch in for Hayleigh's Helping Hands.

There is a drop box for donated items at Northside Gymnastic Academy in O'Fallon, Missouri.
