Snowball Express to benefit families of fallen military heroes

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- The Snowball Express is an all expense paid trip that focuses on the children. They`re traveling to Dallas, Texas in just a few hours for a few days of fun.

This volunteer organization has partnered with the USO and American Airlines to take the families on the trip. They will have a few days packed with cool events and activities including a red carpet movie premiere.

The annual event started after September 11, 2001. It was created to help the families deal with their loss during the holiday season.

A total of 1,800 kids and spouses from across the country will be a part of this year`s Snowball Express. Forty participants are from the St. Louis area.
