Investigation into why National Guard troops did not prevent Ferguson burning & looting

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) –  Missouri lawmakers are launching an investigation into the rioting that followed the grand jury decision not to indict former Ferguson police officer, Darren Wilson. They want to know why Missouri Governor Jay Nixon didn’t station National Guard troops in front of Ferguson businesses to prevent burning and looting.

A house and senate investigative committee, meeting Thursday vowed to use subpoenas if necessary to force members of Nixon’s administration to testify.
