SUNSET HILLS, MO (KPLR) – The Sunset Hills city council took one step forward in efforts to impeach the Mayor Mark Furrer Tuesday night. Council members passed a bill allowing for impeachment procedures to start, but Mayor Mark Furrer was the deciding vote against a second proposal to hire special legal counsel for the case.

Furrer has refused to resign after being charged with two felony counts of hitting a bicyclist over the summer.
