(KPLR) - Wednesday the St. Louis area saw some sunshine and with highs in the upper 40’s. However, a new batch of moisture and energy will arrive about 4 am with a light wintery mix of light freezing rain and sleet until about 10 am mainly north of Metro St. Louis. A repeat of Monday's icing is not expected, but areas 30 to 40 miles north of St. Louis may receive a thin glazing into mid morning. By noon-time temperatures will be far enough above freezing to result in spotty light rain with a high near 39 and a low of 37. Friday is showery and mild with a high near 50.
