ST. CHARLES, MO (KPLR) – The St. Charles County Drug Task Force is holding a woman in jail accused of trying to mail drugs into a jail.

Corrections officials intercepted a letter from Shakar Butler and found rolling papers, a leafy substance and white powder in the envelope.

Investigators later intercepted a second letter and held it until the woman who they say sent it came to visit Butler.

She’s being held pending charges.

No word on what charges Butler may face, if any, as he is incarcerated on a forgery charge.
