ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-- MoDOT fully staffed is maintenance centers Sunday as the agency worked to keep interstates from freezing.  MoDOT assistant district maintenance engineer Amy Twellmann said pavement temperatures were above freezing when snow started to fall.

"With the pavement temperatures still being up, the little bit of snow doesn't hurt us too bad," said Twellmann.  "It just makes the pavement wet, which is still an unsafe situation if motorists don't slow down and drive appropriately for the conditions."

Twellmann said MoDOT workers will monitor conditions overnight and send crews to any areas of concerns.  You can visit for road conditions updates.
