Trick-or-treating child struck by car in downtown St. Charles

ST. CHARLES, MO (KTVI) - A child been struck in St. Charles near the intersection of Boone's Lick and Riverside at around 4pm. Police say the child ran into traffic while trick-or-treating.

According to a release from police the 11-year-old suffered serious injuries. The victim is now at the hospital in critical condition. Police are still on scene investigating the cause of the traffic crash. They are looking for witnesses to the accident.
