GLENN CARBON, IL (KTVI)- Metro east police were led on a chase through three towns before the suspects bailed on foot. Authorities say the pursuit never hit extremely high speeds, but it definitely went through streets in Glenn Carbon. At one point during the chase, the car bumped into a Glenn Carbon police unit.

That vehicle was damaged.

The chase ended at Route 159 at Cougar Road when two males who were inside of a white Buick Mercury, jumped out of the car and ran away.

Multiple agencies were on the scene looking for the pair. A K9 unit was also brought in.

The suspects are still at  large.

This started shortly after 1:45a.m. in Granite City, Illinois. An officer attempted to pull the Mercury over because its headlights weren’t on.

The car wouldn’t stop.

One Granite City police unit chased the vehicle until it left the area.

A short time later, a Maryville police officer spotted the car and started following it.

Then a Glenn Carbon police unit got involved.

It is unclear why the suspects didn’t stop.

The Glenn Carbon cruiser was unoccupied when it was damaged.
