BELLEVILLE, IL (KPLR)-Police are investigating after a woman reported being sexual assaulted early Saturday morning. Around 1:35am, a 51-year old woman called Belleville Police to say she has been sexually assaulted in the 1100 block of West D Street.

The victim said she was riding her bike home from a friend’s house when she was pulled from the bike by her coat and pulled into an alleyway where she was forced to perform sex acts with the suspect.

On Monday, police released an artist rendering of the suspect.

The suspect is described as a black male, medium build, short or shaved hair, no facial hair, and in his mid to late teens. He was wearing a light colored hooded sweatshirt. The suspect fled the area west on West D Street.

The victim rushed home and called 911. EMS transported her to the hospital for treatment and possible recovery of forensic evidence.
