(KPLR) – Hundreds of volunteers come together to give Lemay kids a new playground to explore imagine and create. The Car-Max Foundation and Kaboom are building 30 playgrounds across the U.S. by the end of next year as part of a four-million-dollar partnership.

The Lemay Child and Family Center on south Broadway received one of those playgrounds Wednesday.

Volunteers assembled the playground equipment, finishing the project all in one day.

The playground’s design is based on children’s drawings created at a special design event last July.
