Flordell Hills officer charged with stealing, possession of a controlled substance

FLORDELL HILLS, MO (KPLR)- A Flordell Hills police officer has been arrested and charged with one count of Stealing a Controlled Substance and one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance.

On Saturday, September 27th, Jeremy Quate, 31, of Belleville, IL, was involved in a one car accident and taken to the hospital for treatment . After arriving to the hospital, alprazolam was found in Quate’s possession.

He did not provide a prescription.

Commanders with the Flordell Hills Police Department contacted the St. Louis County Police Division of Criminal Investigation to conduct an investigation.

Quate later admitted to stealing the alprazolam from the Flordell Hills evidence safe on Friday, September 26th.
