Color Run participants paint St. Louis streets on chilly morning

ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR)- A chilly morning didn’t stop runners from pouring into downtown St. Louis Sunday’s for one of the nation's most popular 5K races, a certainly, the most colorful. The Color Run draws massive crowds everywhere it goes.

The Color Run, also known as the Happiest 5k on the Planet, is a unique paint race that celebrates healthiness, happiness and individuality. As runners dressed in white complete the course, they are doused in a special colored powder at each kilometer. 1k is Yellow, 2k is Orange, 3k is Blue, etc.

The 5K race benefited the St. Louis Chapter of Autism Speaks and Food Outreach.
