“I Love Ferguson” group pledging financial support to help city heal

FERGUSON, MO (KTVI)-- A group of Ferguson residents and business owners are putting their financial support behind their city.

Friday a community group called "I love Ferguson" presented a $5,000 check to help small businesses affected by last month's civil unrest.

More than 10,000 yard signs have been handed out.

Requests have come in from as far away as Hong Kong, Denmark and France for the signs.

Friday the group handed over the check for $5,000 through the sale of t-shirts that say "I love Ferguson."

The allocation committee met last night to determine which businesses will receive the funds first.
