One Direction rolls into the Edward Jones Dome

ST. LOUIS (KPLR) – It is a big night for young music fans in downtown St. Louis as One Direction takes over the Edward Jones Dome.

Over 53,000 fans are expected here at the dome tonight for the One Direction concert. This is the first time the Edward Jones Dome has held a concert in 11 years.

The concert started at 7 pm and is expected to be over at 10:30 pm. There are some closures to be aware of if you`re heading downtown or if you know someone who is enjoying the concert. Cole Street will be closed through 7th and Broadway until 7am Thursday morning. Convention Plaza between 7th and Broadway will be closed until midnight tonight to make sure people leave the dome safely. Passenger pick-up is allowed on the west lane of Broadway. If you need to pick someone up.  The Edward Jones Dome has been gearing up for this event for months. It`s been over a decade since a band with this much following has been held at this venue.
