Missouri sets another execution date despite lethal injection issues

BONNE TERRE, MO (KTVI) – Missouri has set another execution date despite recent issues with lethal injection. Leon Taylor is scheduled to die September 10th in Bonne Terre.  He was convicted of killing a Kansas City service station worker during a 1994 robbery.

According to authorities, Taylor tried to kill the victim’s 8-year-old step-daughter as well but the gun misfired.

Missouri has executed six inmates this year.
