(KPLR) - Get ready to fork over more money to buy your beef and bacon.  Prices for the meats hit an all-time high in June.  A pound of ground chuck costs nearly $4.  Expect to pay even more for bacon, which costs more than $6 per pound.

The ongoing drought in parts of the U.S. and a fast-spreading pig virus are behind the price spike.
