Gov. Nixon signs bill with tougher punishment for meth ingredient buyers

JEFFERSON CITY, MO (KPLR) – Missouri Governor jay Nixon Tuesday signed off on a revised new criminal code that toughened the punishment for people buying large amounts of pseudoephedrine, a key ingredient in making meth.

A loophole in an earlier version of the bill was closed paving the way for support from MADD and law enforcement supporting the new laws outlining how and when criminals are punished.
