Three die in separate 4th of July weekend drownings

ST. LOUIS MO (KPLR) - Three people drowned in separate incidents in Missouri over the  fourth of July weekend.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says Joshua Washington of Republic Missouri died at Table Rock lake while trying to help others in the water. At the Lake of the Ozarks 30-year-old Justin Byrd of Englewood Colorado fell off a boat and drowned. 81-year-old Gary GIlbert died in the Castor river in southeast Missouri. Officials say he lost his balance and fell while wading across the river.
