(KPLR) - Many of us had a fun-filled holiday weekend, but for a South Carolina teen, it was a journey of 113 miles.  Brena Murin, 14, decided to celebrate the Fourth of July by running from Key largo to Key West while carrying an American flag.  It was an idea that she had for a family trip, and a way to honor veterans.  Her sister and father both ran with her while her mother drove ahead to make sure the roads were clear.

Each morning they wake up at 4:30 a.m. and run 20 miles.
