FOREST PARK (KPLR)- Fair St. Louis 2014 is now in the history books. The three day festival took to Forest Park this year due to construction on the downtown Arch grounds.  Crews have already begun to remove the portable restrooms and remove the trash cans from Art Hill and Shakespeare Glen. The stages and large tents will come down later in the day.

Feedback from attendees has been mostly positive. Some noted that they did miss the fireworks over the river and the air show. But many said they felt there was more room in Forest Park and that they also enjoyed the addition of a water sports show on the Grand Basin.

Official have not yet announced where Fair St. Louis will be held in 2015. Work at the Arch will still be underway next summer, so there is a chance the family festival will be back in Forest Park.

For those looking to run or cycle in the park, good news. Many of the road blocks have already been taken down. Traffic should be back to normal in Forest Park by Sunday afternoon.

We didn’t go to the fair this year but we sure didn’t miss the fire works display put on by East Saint Louis Ill., It was really big like the V.P fair and drew thousands of people. Why no mention of East St Louis display? It is a total different experience looking at the display from the Mo side of the river.
