ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) – It’s a huge pay day for World Cup Soccer fans.  The U.S.A.  could make it to the next round.  They’re hoping for a celebration at the Amsterdam Tavern.

Sunday’s game was exciting and U.S. fans thought their team had it until the final seconds when Portugal score and the game ended in a tie.

Thursday, The U.S. need to either beat or tie Germany to get to the next round.  If they lose, they could still advance depending on what happens in the Ghana/Portugal game which is being played at the same time.

Television ratings have been through the roof with more than 25 million people watching Sunday’s match.  That was the most-watched soccer game in U.S. history and Thursday that number could be even higher.

Bars like the Amsterdam Tavern reports a big jump in business when the game is televised.
