BRIDGETON, MO (KPLR) - Thursday Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster announced a settlement had been reached with the owners of the Bridgeton Landfill.

But on Sunday, homeowners and neighbors near the landfill met with a new lawyer to discuss their options.   An Alton law firm had previously been involved in negotiations with the landfill homeowners.  An agreement had been reached on buyouts and other compensation, but a group of residents wanted to see if another attorney could get them a better deal.

The previous deal stated that they had until the middle of July to accept or reject the agreement.
