ST. LOUIS (KTVI) - The Missouri Highway Patrol says Larry Bauer, 56, is the truck driver who died in a crash on Interstate 55 in Arnold, Mo. Thursday.

Bauer, from Marshall, Minnesota, slammed into the back of another tractor trailer that was stopped in traffic near Highway 141 Arnold.

That traffic was backed up for several miles because of the tractor trailer fire also on Interstate 55, north of Butler Hill Road.

The north and southbound lanes of I-55 were closed for several hours.  The driver of the UPS truck that was hit has what the Highway Patrol calls, "moderate" injuries.
