Murder suspect escapes custody near Denver during extradition to St. Louis area

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – A murder suspect in Madison, Illinois has escaped custody near Denver, Colorado during extradition from Las Vegas back to the St. Louis area.  Police are on the lookout for Turhan Robinson, 37, after he escaped from a  prison in Wheat Ridge, Colorado Friday morning.  Robinson was being transported from Las Vegas to Illinois when he escaped inmate services.

Robinson is described as a black male, 5 foot-9, 180 pounds with black hair, cornrows and brown eyes.  He was last seen wearing a black shirt over a white tank top, khaki shorts with red boxers.

He was also handcuffed in the front and had a shackled on his left leg.
