WASHINGTON, MO (KTVI) – A little girl from Missouri got to meet the younger sister of the Duchess of Cambridge, Philippa Charlotte “Pippa” Middleton. She was riding through the state as part of the Race Across America. Middleton and her brother James are part of an eight man team who battled hot temperatures for their cause.

Donna House says that she and her daughter were at the intersection of Highway T and D when the team stopped to say hello. They were the only people in the area. Pippa Middleton took a moment to talk to her daughter Cayman and take a picture with her. It is a memory she will treasure for a lifetime.

She writes to KPLR 11, “My daughter is 9 years old. We live in Katy, Texas. We were visiting family at Lake Sherwood on highway T. We heard about them riding by, so my mom and daughter went up to see them, you know, just to wave.  That’s when they stopped right where they were waiting and got a huge surprise!  She was so sweet and talked to them for about 10 mins while they were switching bikers. ”
