MOORHEAD, MN (CNN) - People hitting the links at a golf course in Minnesota got a huge surprise yesterday (Tuesday), when a fugitive pickup truck comes barreling down the fairway with several cop cars in hot pursuit.
Kay Cooley talks with a golfer who caught it all on his cell phone camera.

Cody Fuller, Shot Chase Video: "My eyes got about the size of golf balls."

Hearing about a high speed chase is one thing, but seeing it.

Mike Schroeder, Village Green Asst. Superintendent: "Saw the video, yep."

Is really something else.

"I looked at my wife and I told her, I was like that's my video, I took that."

Cody fuller was definitely in the right place, at the right time.

Cody Fuller, Shot Chase Video: "All the lights and sirens were going."

He was golfing at village green Tuesday night, when he found himself smack dab in the middle of a car chase.

"Turned around and he jumped the ditch and got on the course and I guess chaos just broke loose after that."

The driver plowed through fairways and greens with police trailing behind, a helicopter overhead, and golfers gawking in disbelief.

"Yeah it was pretty crazy, especially for the golfers out here to see that coming down."

"There were people running. I could see in the distance people scattering and running all over the place."

Now golfers are back out and grounds crews are cleaning up what he ruined.

Mike Schroeder, Village Green Asst. Superintendent: "Looks like we're just coming up on some tracks now. Looks like if he would've went a little faster, he would've got some water. "

"I was surprised at how not damaged it was. I was expecting worse."

While Cody carries the intense images he captured from the night before.

Michael Beyer, Fargo: "I'm still kind of in shock about it. Living around here you don't see something like that every day."

"Should've been on the driving range huh?"

Grounds crew members say most of the damages have been repaired.

The fugitive driver was arrested is facing felony drug charges along with felony charges for fleeing police and criminal property damage.

Moorhead police are now conducting an internal investigation as to whether officers followed correct protocol in following the suspect onto the golf course.
