FRANKLIN COUNTY, MO (KTVI) – One wolf is dead and the other still on the loose in Franklin County Tuesday night. The wolves got loose from a cage near Robertsville Monday.

The sheriff’s department says one wolf was shot last night after a person found it inside an enclosed sheep pen.

The owner of the wolves had a license to raise the animals.

The remaining gray wolf is about 100 to 150 pounds and is normally not aggressive.

If you see the wolf, call the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department.
