(KPLR) – In Monday’s “The Way It Oughta Be”, JB looks at how much is the right amount to leave for a tip.

I never know how much is the right amount to leave for a tip.  There are too many tip jars popping up all over town.

I don't have a problem with a tip jar.  I just don't know what the appropriate amount is for each situation.

I found a list online.  It suggests cabbies receive 10 to 18 percent.  The suggestion for hair or nail salons is 15 to 25 percent.  We'll put the list at KPLR11.com.

Tips for every situation

In the meantime, if I don't tip enough, it's not personal.  I'm just out of touch.

I'm JB, and that's “The Way It Oughta Be”.
