Bridgeton landfill offers $6.8M settlement over landfill odor

BRIDGETON, MO (KPLR) - Residents living near the Bridgeton landfill met Saturday to discuss a settlement offer over the odor coming from the landfill. The landfill's owners have offered $6.8 million dollars to nearly 400 homes impacted.

Some of the residents signed a petition to request a buyout.

The settlement offer must still be approved by the court; a hearing is scheduled for August 1st.
