(KPLR)-St. Louis will see an active night of weather as we head from Monday night into Tuesday. A strong cold front is marching slowly to the east. Out ahead of it, very warm and moist air is feeding thunderstorm development. The storms could be strong, with heavy rain, small hail, and strong wind gusts, but the chance for widespread severe weather is low for the St. Louis region.

By Tuesday, the front moves off to the east and we see lingering rain showers and cooler temperatures. Highs Tuesday through Friday will only be in the 60°s.
