Severe weather moving into St. Louis area

ST. LOUIS (KPLR) –  Severe thunderstorm watch continues for metro St. Louis and for counties west of St. Louis till 11 pm. A severe storm with baseball sized hail and a confirmed tornado has produced damage winds near the town of Orrick in Ray County, Missouri to the east of Kansas City. This supercell storm is heading east-southeast just north of I-70 along a warm front and is likely to remain severe as it enters our viewing area in Montgomery and/or Pike Counties by 8 pm.

Weather remains quiet in St. Louis till at least 8 pm with the most likely time for severe weather in the metro area between 9 pm and midnight.
