Stabbing victim clings to life; police arrest a suspect

ST. LOUIS (KTVI) - An overnight stabbing outside a bar leave one man critically hurt and another in custody. It all started in south St. Louis and ended in south St. Louis County.

The stabbing took place just after midnight in the parking lot in an alley at Alabama and Holly Hills.  Police say a 32-year-old man was stabbed. Now he's in a fight for his life.

Authorities were able to get a description of the suspect and his car, a 2008 Ford Focus.  St. Louis County police officials say city investigators called them and asked County officers to check an address on Grantwood Lane in Grantwood Village.

County officers went there and arrested the stabbing suspect.  Authorities say he's 33 years old.

At this time, the victim is in critical and unstable condition. Homicide investigators are now handling the case.
