Worker rescued from collapsed trench in Brentwood

BRENTWOOD, MO (KPLR) - Emergency crews worked feverishly to rescue a worker from a trench collapse in Brentwood. The collapse happened in the 8800 block of Bridgeport.

The worker was pulled from the hole and placed on a stretcher to be taken to an area hospital. His exact condition is unknown, but his injuries are not considered life threatening.

The St. Louis Fire Department’s Specialized Collapse Rescue Task Force assisted in the rescue. The Rock Hill and Clayton fire departments were also on the scene helping Brentwood's department.
