Teamsters ratify 5-year contact with Anheuser-Busch

WASHINGTON, D.C. (KPLR) – Wednesday the Teamsters Union ratified a new 5-year contract with Anheuser-Busch. The deal worth $2 billion in wages and benefits will cover AB’s 4,500 union workers at the company’s 12 breweries in the U.S.

The union says members will receive an additional $24,000 in wages and bonuses for the average employee over the next five years. Wage increases provided by the contract will paid retroactive to March 1, 2014.

Anheuser-Busch releases this statement on the contract ratification:
“We are pleased to announce our Teamster-represented employees have ratified the tentative agreement reached on March 21; a five-year contract covering Teamster-represented employees at our 12 U.S. breweries. We appreciate the hard work and professionalism of the union negotiators that helped craft an agreement that responds to changes in the marketplace, and that is good for both our people and our company.”

Anheuser-Busch has breweries in: Los Angeles; St. Louis; Jacksonville, Fla.; Newark, N.J.; Houston; Fort Collins, Colo.; Williamsburg, Va.; Cartersville, Ga.; Merrimack, N.H.; Fairfield, Calif.; Columbus, Ohio; and Baldwinsville, N.Y.
