PERION, IL (KPLR) – The Bond County Sheriff’s Department has recaptured an escaped inmate, who has been on the loose since this past Saturday. Andrew J. Walker was captured in Perion, Illinois Monday morning around 7:30 am after a brief pursuit and foot pursuit.

Authorities say Walker crashed a vehicle into a ditch, and then led officers on a foot chase before being recaptured without incident.

Walker was originally being held on Methamphetamine charges, when it’s alleged that he escaped through a vent, and a drop ceiling to a door leading outside the Bond County Jail.
