ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) - I don't know if you heard about this latest research but it suggests our kids are having trouble solving some pretty simple tasks. The study faults parents for letting their kids spend so much time with a tablet or smart phone.

Don't get me wrong, those same kids are pros when it comes to swiping a screen. They just don't know how to put together building blocks.

The study also found some kids were unable to perform some basic pen and pencil exams because their memory had been eroded away from too much screen time.

I love my tablet and my smart phone. If you have one I'm sure you do too. Just don't forget the whole rest of the world exists.

I'm JB and that's the way it oughta be.

I was talking about this to my mother the other day. Its astonishing how many children don’t know how to use a pencil and paper to write a simple report, do math or even spell. Their computers and tablets do it all for them, the sae with writing the priner prints it out for them. I feel sorry for our students if the electricity should go out and stay out.
