IRS may be looking at your social media accounts

(KPLR) – If you owe the IRS money, the feds may be watching your social media accounts.

The IRS is said to be data mining Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other sites for information that could come in handy in audits.

That’s because people pot intimate details about their lives on social media.  From vacation photos, work successes, to buying anew house or car, people tend to post the information online.

The taxman is reportedly using this data on people who file fishy taxes or don’t file at all.
