Missouri to hold green sales tax holiday

JEFFERSON CITY, MO (KPLR) – Missouri will hold its 6th annual Show-Me Green Sales Tax holiday, Saturday, April 19th through Friday, April 25th. Consumers buying certain energy efficient appliances with Energy Star certification maybe eligible for not paying the 4.225% state sales tax levy.

Many cities and counties in the State of Missouri are also exempting sale tax payments during the green sales tax holiday. For a list of cities and counties exempting sale tax, click here.

• Freezers
• Dishwashers
• Water heaters
• Furnaces
• Air conditioners
• Heat pumps
