Gov. Quinn touting home ownership program for first time buyers

(KPLR) -Illinois Governor Pat Quinn is traveling across Illinois Monday giving people who want to buy a home, a little help. Quinn will be stopping in Chicago, Rockford, Moline and Bartonville.

He’s telling the public about his new program, “Welcome Home Illinois" loan program. Under this program, first time home owners will get help with down payments, and receive interest rates as low as 3.75% on a 30-year Mortgage.

It's part of the governor's plan to stimulate the economy throughout Illinois.
