ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - Metro Bus service was in slow motion Monday thanks to dozen of drivers involved in a labor dispute. They called in sick. Now routes are in question for Tuesday.

More than 70 Metro Bus drivers called in sick. Usually that number is around 10. Metro's clerical workers and bus drivers have yet to settle differences over pension issues with Metro leadership.

Metro officials didn't say they thought the bus drivers called in sick to make a point, but they did find the amount of sick calls and the timing to be odd since Monday was Cardinals Opening Day.

But the sick calls did not impact Metrolink, which most cards fans relied on to get to the game.

Metro says service Tuesday morning is back to normal with no significant delays.
