ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) - Former NBA player and Saint Louis University Billiken Larry Hughes stopped by the KPLR studios. His foundation will host its annual "J Walk`N" event at the Parkway North High School Football Field. April Simpson will serve as the 2014 Grand Marshal.

J Walk`N is more than a walk-a-thon; it's a challenge to the students of America to be mindful of the power of organ donation. J Walk`N is named in honor of the late Justin Hughes, brother of former NBA star Larry Hughes. Justin passed away in 2006 at the age of 20, after living for nearly a decade with a heart transplant.

The Larry Hughes Family Foundation is committed to educating the public and assisting families in our community on the need of organ donors. In loving memory of the late Justin B. Hughes, the family will continue raising awareness and striving to make a difference in the lives of the families that are affected.
