EAST ST. LOUIS (KPLR) - There was a special event in East St. Louis Saturday, designed to promote healthy minds for a safer community. The "Sharing our Stories" event was a one-stop shop designed to inspire participants to connect with their past, "remove the mask", and embrace the strengths of the community to live a healthier, happier, safer life.

It was held at "Jackie Joyner-Kersee Center", with nationally renowned public relations expert and mental health activist Terrie M. Williams.
