Blue Angels flying again, will visit St. Louis in May

CHESTERFIELD, MO (KPLR)- The Spirit of St. Louis Air Show is back for 2014. Headlined by the US Navy Blue Angels, the event will also feature various acrobatic and military displays in the air, and a huge STEM Expo, Veteran’s Village and static airplane displays on the ground.

The Blue Angels are flying again after being grounded much of last year because of forced spending cuts by the U.S. government. The squadron flew its first show Saturday at Naval Air Facility El Centro in California.

The Spirit of St. Louis Air Show will be held May 3-4, 2014, celebrating the 50th birthday of Spirit of St. Louis Airport.
