ST. LOUIS – The NCAA selection committee didn’t penalize SLU too harshly for their late season slide. The Billikens were given a number 5 seed in the Midwest Region in the upcoming NCAA Tournament.

SLU will face either North Carolina State or Xavier in a matchup on Thursday in Orlando, Florida. NC State and Xavier are both 12 seeds and will play for the right to advance to face the Bills.

SLU finished the regular season with a 26-6. The Billikens are in the NCAA Tournament for a third straight year.

Starting time for Thursday’s game is still to be announced. If SLU wins, they would play again on Saturday with a likely match-up against the 4 seed Louisville, which is also the defending National Champion.
