JENNINGS, MO (KTVI)--A thief put a small business owner out of business this week by stealing his heavy equipment.

Arthur Jones is still shaking his head over the brazen thief security video captured  leaving a sedan and then breaking into his 1992 Ford diesel dump truck just after 8pm Sunday.

The thief stole the locked dump truck, trailer and skid-steer loader from the parking lot of the Jones family donut shop in the 9400 block of Lewis and Clark Road in Jennings.

Jones is a small contractor and cabinet maker.

He and his wife Carolyn also operate a shop called Country Inn Donuts they are asking everyone they know to be on the lookout for the stolen equipment.

Anyone with information about the stolen equipment is asked to call the Jennings Police Department or Crimestoppers.

It makes me sick to read this. My father in law owns a small business and he is constantly being robbed. We need to protect our businesses. Don’t buy stollen goods.
